FAQS
How long will my appointment take?
Haircuts typically run 45–75 mins. Color services vary more widely depending on the work involved, generally 2–4 hours. Your stylist can give you a more precise estimate when you book.
Will I get a reminder about my appointment?
Yes, our booking system sends confirmation and reminder emails automatically along with texts, but every so often one gets lost along the way. We'd suggest popping your appointment into your own calendar just in case, and adding our email address to your contacts so nothing we send ends up buried in spam.
What if I’m booking multiple appointments with different people on the same day?
If you are booking online yourself, we advise getting your color done first, followed by a haircut - unless you are going for a major change to your cut. If you are getting any facial appointments, we recommend seeing your esthetician before any hair service so that your locks stay in place.
How long should I wait to wash my hair after getting color?
We'd suggest holding off for 2 to 3 days. That's roughly how long it takes for your hair's cuticle layer to fully close back up, which locks the color molecule in and helps your color hold longer between visits. A big part of keeping your color fresh is your home care routine - we recommend color-safe shampoos and conditioners and avoid clarifying shampoos. Even better is to air-dry, but we understand that is not realistic for every style, so heat-protecting products will help create a barrier to preserve color and prevent excessive damage to the cuticle.
What should I book if I'm not sure which service I need?
Give us a call or send a message, and we'll help you figure out the right fit, or book a complimentary consultation with your stylist.
What's included in my service price?
The price you're quoted at booking is the price you'll see at checkout, plus our $2 eco fee that helps keep our beauty waste recycling program going. Hair clippings, foils, single-use items, and color all get recycled.
Every once in a while your visit takes a turn from what was originally booked, and here's how we handle it. If you and your stylist land on a completely different service once you get talking in the chair, they'll always run the new price by you first and get your okay before moving forward. And if your hair is longer, denser, or thicker/curlier and you're planning to leave with a blowout, this will take your stylist additional time, and your price will go up. We recommend booking the "XL" version of the service so there's nothing unexpected when you check out.
What if I have been coloring my hair myself?
We totally get it - it’s a part of the great human experiment; however, home color can bring some extra challenges when we are shifting tones or lightening your hair. To get to your hair goals, sometimes this can the journey will take multiple appointments, as we first and foremost care for the integrity of your hair and will never want to put it in a compromising position. We use Aveda’s Professional Botanical Repair bond-building activators within your color service. We highly recommend booking a color consultation prior to any color service if you have been coloring your hair at home.
Can I bring a support person to my appointment or my kids?
Yes, though we do have limited seating at times, and we may ask that your guest or child wait in our reception or cafe during your appointment.
Do you have parking?
Yes, we have parking in the back of our building. Feel free to park anywhere that says salon/cafe. Additionally, there is also metered parking and free street parking.
Do you accept cash or credit card?
We do accept both cash and credit card; however, we keep limited change for cash, so please plan accordingly. We do not have an ATM.
Why do I need a credit card to book my appointment?
We ask for a card on file to secure your spot and protect your stylist's time. Appointments are reserved just for you, so a card on file helps us keep our schedule reliable for everyone, including you.
For color appointments booked online, we collect 50% of the service fee upfront as a deposit. That amount is applied toward your total and reflected at checkout after your visit.
Your card won't be charged beyond what's outlined here unless our cancellation policy applies, and you're always welcome to ask us not to keep it stored after your visit.
If you cancel your color appointment 24 hrs or more prior to your appointment, you will get your deposit fee back to your card. Please allow 5-7 business days for processing.
