I recently had the pleasure of a haircut with Rita, who’s been a cutting specialist with The Establishment for 8 years. Read more about my amazing experience below!
Rita‘s station is a little different from the others, featuring a small oil diffuser. After washing my hands, I sat down and was greeted with the warm scent of Thieves (Cinnamon, Clove, Eucalyptus Radiata, Rosemary and Lemon) with a little extra cinnamon. Perfectly strong enough to smell through my mask, but not overwhelming. The aromatherapy instantly relaxes, putting me at ease and ready for a cut. Rita starts with a conversation around my hair goals, current styling routine, and hair type. Before too long, she’s ready with a game-plan.
I love how Rita was able to create a cut that works beautifully for my natural texture (between wavy and curly, plenty of frizz). As well as for my heat-treated straightened coif. She’s always ready with a recommendation of how to best style your natural hair and which products work for your texture. Meaning if you’re looking for a cut that can wash and wear – Rita can show you tips, tricks, and the best product to make your hair behave better than it ever has. She even taught me a cool trick to tame a particularly stubborn cowlick of mine, totally mind blowing. I’ve had the cut for a few weeks and have had so many amazing hair days since.
If you’re looking for a calm and relaxing experience that sends you home with a great cut, plussome extra positive energy, I can’t recommend Rita enough!
